This August 2025, we’re diving into the book of Romans as we return to our annual teaching series, Underground Jesus—an invitation to join the 2,000-year-old movement of Jesus that is still changing lives today. Each week we’ll look at one of our four Movement Makers that shape who we are as a church: our Mission to see people far from God discipled into a passionate relationship with Jesus (Romans 1:16–17); our Motto to live boldly and love deeply in a world desperate for hope (Romans 12:9–21); our Model of following the way of Jesus by living UP with God, IN community, and OUT on mission (Romans 6 & 8); and our Movement Goal— to see 1 million people reached for Christ in the state of Indiana in our lifetime which involves joining God’s unstoppable plan to take the gospel to every person and place through ordinary people like us (Romans 15–16). Together, we’ll discover that the underground movement of Jesus is alive and advancing, and each of us has a part to play.
