Join Rise Up on a transformative mission trip to Rwanda, the "Land of a Thousand Hills," where you’ll discover the country's rich culture and stunning landscapes. A highlight of the trip is meeting women who are participants in the 3-year women’s development program, connecting with teachers and students at a girls’ boarding school, visiting a farm and pig initiative, and hearing stories of life change from community members, while learning about the reconciliation initiatives that have helped Rwanda to heal after the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Join us as we partner with City Relief, a ministry that comes alongside friends and guests who are experiencing homelessness through consistent presence, compassion, and connection to life-changing resources. Are you ready for an immersive serving trip that will be fulfilling and transformative? This travel team will work alongside the local Giving Back Hope Together (GBHT) staff and volunteers as they conduct a week-long vacation Bible school for 500 to 600 children living in Nairobi, Kenya. Children are fed breakfast and lunch, led in worship, provided Bible teaching, and participate in crafts and organized play.
